Yes they would. I stayed with one for 3 years after and 8 years after. You know because i deserved it. Obviously not but i damn sure thought I did and that no one else would love me. Any of us who have been there will tell you the same. I cooked my husband dinner the same night he beat the shit out of me earlier that day. He would have said, and still does, the same thing this congressman did.
