My mom texted me a couple weeks ago saying this is her “Abbey Yung Method 2.0” because she often gets in the shower + realizes she forgot to apply hair oil. So I wanted to share this tip because it’s the perfect way to still get some protection on your lengths and ends on days when you forget or just don’t have enough time to let a pre-shampoo oil treatment in your hair. If you’re used to using a thicker oil like the OGX coconut miracle oil, I’d recommend using a hair mask or something more deeply conditioning. If you’re used to using a really lightweight oil like an oil mist, I’d recommend trying a more lightweight conditioner! Also- this is the same tip I gave several years ago when the reverse washing trend was going viral. A pre-shampoo conditioning product (of any kind) is a great idea to improve manageability post-wash, but I think it’s super important to use a conditioner or mask after shampoo, so I wouldn’t recommend that wash hack alone! #hairhack #washday #hairoil #washdayroutine
