@drhouledds: If your jaw feels tight, sore, or overworked, this is one of the foundational exercises I teach many of my TMJ patients. The N position helps bring your jaw back into a relaxed resting state, reducing unnecessary muscle tension and increasing awareness of habits like clenching or holding your teeth together throughout the day. Jaw resets can be important parts of an evidence-based treatment plan when used appropriately. Learning to recognize and interrupt jaw tension is often one of the first steps toward reducing TMJ pain and improving function.
