I’m sorry, but the animated versions HAVE to be excluded from these lists. What’s capable with an animated movie is drastically different than the live action forms. Having them on the same list is like comparing apples to oranges

Great list, I'm surprised more people don't have Across the Spiderverse at the top. I find it to be incredible, the mom's speech hits me as emotionally as any speech in a superhero movie and the Miles "I'm gonna do my own thing" arc is the best version of that concept (Spiderman trusting his instincts and going against the system). Which we see a similar arc in Brand New Day, but to lesser effect imo.

I hateeeeee comparing animated films from live action! To me they’re too different to compare and watching actual human beings on screen isn’t the same as a cartoon character with a voice over. I’ll never understand it.
