@ty.prompts.ai: Flock ALPR cameras broadcast their own wifi, and this little box listens for it. It is a small ESP32 board running open source firmware that passively picks up the signatures Flock cameras and Raven gunshot sensors put out, tags each one with GPS, and writes it to a CSV you can file a records request with or upload to deflock.me. To be clear about what it is and is not: it only listens. No jamming, no transmitting, no touching anything. It is the same thing as writing down a camera you can already see, except it does not miss any. Worth knowing why now: Axon bought Fusus, the platform that lets police pull in private camera feeds, and this year they started asking residents in Knoxville to buy a box that plugs their home camera into that network. Yeah, those chips, and the know how isn't cheap. A single project for this is about 2/3 weeks, you need to solder, and know how to make electronics speak together, understand programming and pin blocking... This example is actually missing a vital part actually, so cold cash, $700/$800 low end, $1200 high end with a box for it. Weight of this is ALSO an ordeal in my mind. Too heavy for a drone to commit to semi permanent installation. Y'all are going to have to brush up if we're to stand a chance of winning THIS WW...
