@cheyandcowbo: Here’s CowBo opening 3 varieties of watermelons grew this year. Pretty disappointing! Growing watermelons this year has been an absolute struggle. The first batch of watermelons we sold were beautiful sangria variety. We had them earlier in the summer. They were a very sweet meat red. Then as a second crop we had a mix of like four or five varieties: moon and stars, crackerjacks, and some other red and yellow meat watermelons. We faced drought, weeds, and deer. It was just too much to overcome. Next year we probably won’t plant so many watermelons and we’ll focus more on other crops. But the watermelons we will plant will be our tried and true varieties like Jubilee, Charleston Gray, and sangria. #wa#watermelona#farmerl#plantso#cowboyv#overalls
