I’m redefining what it looks like to be an influencer/content creator. I know a lot of you see the final product… but you don’t always see what it took to get there. You don’t see the failures, the rejections, or the creators who keep showing up even when life gets hard. I’m choosing to share my journey, including the failures, because so many of you who want to start creating look to me for advice and… GIRLLLL I don’t even have a fraction of this thing figured out yet. I started this journey doing skits and comedy six years ago, and A LOT has changed since then. I’ve changed a lot too. The past three years have been some of the hardest of my life, and this year has probably been the toughest. But I’m tired of abandoning my platform every time life gets hard because I’m scared of how I’ll be perceived or of being vulnerable. Growing up, I was always the funny friend. Somewhere along the way, I tied my entire identity to being “the funny one” to the point where I barely let anyone see me when I’m struggling. So… we’re doing things a little differently this time. IM NOT QUITTING THAT 9-5! You’ll still get the humour (don’t worry, I’m not retiring 😂), but you’re also going to get the real shittt… The behind the scenes, the setbacks, the wins.. ALL OF IT. I’ve been avoiding posting and only waiting to post the highlight reels but this journey isn’t just about the highlight reels.. it’s about what happens when the camera stops recording too.
