For anyone who had trouble hearing because of the loud background sound, here is a clearer list of the Surahs and Ayats he mentions for daily ruqyah and protection: Surah Al-Fatiha (7 times); the last 3 verses of Surah Al-Baqarah; the first 5 verses of Surah Al-Imran and then from “Inna fi khalqis-samawati wal-ard” until the end of that page; the first page of Surah As-Saffat; Surah Al-Jinn (full Surah); the last 4 verses of Surah Al-Hashr; the last page of Surah Al-Hujurat and part of Surah Al-Ahqaf starting from “Wa idh sarafna ilayka nafaran minal-Jinn”; Surah Az-Zalzalah, Surah Al-Kafirun, Surah Al-Ikhlas, Surah Al-Falaq and Surah An-Nas; the dua “Bismillahilladhi la yadurru ma’asmihi shay’un fil-ardi wa la fis-sama’, wa Huwas-Sami’ul-‘Alim” (7 times); verse 39 of Surah Al-Kahf (“Mashallah la quwwata illa billah”) for protection from evil eye; Ayat al-Kursi, Surah Al-Fatiha and the last 2 verses of Surah Al-Qalam recited over water or over the body with “neff” (gentle blowing without saliva); and the verses about sihr in Surah Yunus and Surah Al-A’raf, such as “Qala Musa ma ji’tum bi-s-sihr, innallaha sayubtiluhu”.

It is disappointing to see scholars spreading false claims in the name of Islam without clear evidence. Can anyone provide a single reference from the Qur’an or an authentic Hadith—not TikTok or cultural stories—that instructs Muslims to say “Bismillah” before turning on or using hot water?
