but $1.4M in 30 years… how much is that gonna be worth realistically? gas will be $10ish a gallon in the year 2055, a loaf of bread will be $10, a night out at the movies with the kids will be $200? so how far is $1.4M really gonna take you by then?

You could put that $7,500 in a Roth 401k, where your part grows tax free. And get any possible “free” company match money as well. Plus if you want to invest more than $7,500 in an after tax plan, the Roth 401k has a cap at $24,500.

im reading some of these comments and it explains the rich get rich and the poor get poorer you have to participate to get rich wanna sit on the side and tell the government to take from people who do the work best things in life come from delayed gratification not instant every 20 years you loose 40% of buying power in cash buy assets over liabilities
