I label the boxes myself if they come in unlabeled because when we pull something out we say thank you to the person who provided it. Builds a sense of community. Kids who's family's dont provide, I buy stuff and write their name on it so they are included too. Please label what you buy!

Our supply lists asks parents to label everything, but when you label each individual pencil etc it does make me giggle as the teacher

I don’t care! Haha I’ve had parents be so petty they label every crayon/pencil in the box. You do what you want. But if Joey needs a pencil…he’s getting a pencil no matter whose name is on it!

Just Me :
I had one new teacher say something about me writing my daughters first initial on the boxes of supplies including the wrappers on the paper towels. She only lasted one year and was a bit snooty about it. I had to explain I have more then one child and I was making sure the correct items are going to the teachers that asked for them.....

I also saw a video where the parent wrapped the names on the school supplies and the teacher goes. Let’s thank Aidan for our box of pencils and that makes Aidan or whatever other kid want to help his community more. I have to send you a video what I’m talking about I thought it was the cutest thing because you and I both know they share the school supplies and nobody is against that but like you said, I want you to know that I got what I was supposed to get.

As a teacher, I don't mind at all. If it helps you, then by all means girl do it. It actually helps me too because I check off that all my students brought what they needed.

I really don’t care. I dump them all together anyway. Then when I pull something out with a name on it, I just tell the whole class “hey, susie brought this (whatever the item is)! Let’s thank Susie!”

Doesn’t annoy us but also don’t notice or care. It’s expected that some people won’t bring supplies. I don’t judge anyone and appreciate everyone.
