For those who don’t understand: In Ethiopia is 7 years away from the calendar. Right now it’s 2026, but in Ethiopia, it’s 2019. In September 11 2001 as you may already know, a terrible tragedy happened on New York involving two planes getting hijacked by terrorists and crashing them into the Twin Towers. It was 8:46 AM when the attack started. In Ethiopia, it was September, 11, 1994 at 3:46 PM during when the attack occurred in New York. Ethiopia is not the only one where the year is different. In Thailand, the year is 543 years into the future, so the year is 2569 over there.

New years in Ethiopia is on september 10th and their calendar is 7 years behind our one. so in Ethiopia new years 1994 would fall between September 10th and 11th 2001.
