they deny their children happiness because they were losers when they were younger and try to vicariously/parasocially live out their failed youth through their kids. but their wants are rooted in an uneducated perception of happiness and success, so naturally when their kids stray from that life they start throwing toddler tantrums. i have 0 sympathy for these narcissists.

I bet my “bhalo manush” family talks about me like this!! I was recently brave enough to go no contact with my bhalo family after years of abuse and now they send me long essays asking how could I cut my family off (even though I told them why) and saying “amra tomar jonno doa kori” while refusing to acknowledge any of the abuse! I have such a love hate relationship with my culture. I love the food but hate these cultural dynamics ugh 😣
