so helpful to hear this perspective! there is a lot of pressure to get on the bandwagon but it may not be right for everyone. I just started posting but I also worry if I ever had to RELY on it, I would stop enjoying it and lose the creative freedom that comes with it.

All of this! There is nothing wrong with a 9-5. I think the internet has glorified “ influencer” so much that people feel like losers with a 9-5 and that’s just not the case. I love doing this as an extra source of income for fun, not because I have to. I also love structure, my 401k and my stock in the company I work for. I’m closer to retirement than not.

I love seeing consulting stuff ecp the girlies in nyc bc I’m one and wanting to figure out how they balance! There’s actually someone on here that shows outfits she wears and she is on my client 😅 ( I only know bc I can tell the elevator she sometimes films in) but I love seeing it bc I’m like he’s this is all so relevant. Also if they’re telling me to buy stuff it’s bc it works with the lifestyle

I agree you get the best of both worlds. My father always taught me to always have a Plan B. If one falls, at least you still have the other and vice versa. Especially in this job market you can’t fully depend on anything. It’s best not to have all your eggs in one basket. ✨

YES! I did social media full time for a year it was so stressful always coming up with new ideas trying to stay relevant etc etc. it’s so much more freeing doing social media while having a 9 to 5
