Told my hairdresser I DID NOT want layers, it makes my hair frizzy, and I want it all the same length. She then proceeded to rush through giving me choppy layers and a swoop in front. Ended up having to go a lot shorter than I wanted to fix it.

doctors, hair styles, therapists, plumbers, landscapers, etc. can be the greatest people in their industry, but if you don't connect with them you are never getting your vision. find the ones you connect with.. it matters

My favorite hair stylist is an hour away. I TRIED finding a stylist in my own town, but after 2 okay cuts and 1 TERRIBLE cut from three different stylists I apologized to her profusely and told her I will never try anyone else again!

A New Beginning :
I've been going to my hairdresser since I was a little girl, she has literally seen me grow up. for all my major events, I just went to hair, told her the event and let her do what she needed to do. I've only ever received compliments. Even when I want to cut my hair, I go to her tell what I want and give her "free will" to handle it. I have never walked away disappointed.

I'm another one who can't find a hair stylist. I learned how to cut my hair at home and I hate doing it. I want to go and get it cut. I've had my hair cut so short in the back without my consent. I don't get it. I don't get why it's so hard to find someone decent. I'm trusting this person to hold knives to my head.

I had a stylist tell me that a haircut that I wanted wouldn't look good on me bc of my curls...I got it done next time I went by a different stylist and it looked amazing and the grow out was even better! That first stylist just wasn't comfortable doing my hair the way I wanted it.

So I know it’s a red flag to hear “no one ever does it right” but quite literally I told MULTIPLE stylists that I wanted bangs, like bangs, and instead I got side swept bangs and then asked if I was sure that I knew what I was asking for, almost 5 years of that back and forth between stylists and I gave up and just started doing my own hair. At least cutting my own hair, if I don’t like it, it’s my fault and I can’t say I don’t feel listened to. So far, it hasn’t been bad, but I do wanna get a pixie while I’m pregnant so now I’m on the search for a stylist again

I keep asking stylists at one salon for bangs. I don’t have super thin hair and I’ve had bangs before. They keep ignoring me and just not doing it. This is like the third time I don’t go often so it’s been like 3 years.
