I wrote a song… I think? I took a nap and woke up with this in my head. I swear it’s not a song I’ve ever heard before, but it won’t leave me alone. So here’s me, resting, dreaming, and singing for my own nervous system. And listen: I don’t want to be a singer. Healing by the Numbers is not pivoting to music because if showing my face felt scary a few weeks ago, sharing my voice like this is a whole new level of terrifying. But I wanted to share it anyway because: 1️⃣ This is nervous system data: I slept and my brain gave my feelings a healing language through music. 2️⃣ It’s honest: I never sing in front of people, but this is proof that safety and self-expression are growing as I heal in real time. 3️⃣ It’s hopeful and not polished: I recorded this on the first take, still half-asleep, same outfit as Monday. I’ve tried to re-record it “better,” but the raw version is the real data. This isn’t about music; it’s about being quiet enough to hear what your brain wants to say, even if it’s not what you expected. Rest gives back. Sometimes it sounds like this (apparently). I’m not even particularly religious — so I really don’t know where “pray for me” came from. But to me, here it means hope.
