When your love language is cooking for the people you love, you head straight to ALDI to make Valentine’s Day special 🤍 Everything for this dinner came from ALDI, and it’s one of those meals that feels really special without overthinking it. Perfect date night dinner that serves 4-5, so you get restaurant-quality vibes at home PLUS leftovers for easy lunches the next day. Came in at around $26 for dinner ($34 with dessert), which breaks down to just $6.80 per person! 🍽️✨ Good food and not breaking the bank. Slow-Cooker Beef Ragù Style Pasta Serves: 4-5 Prep time: 10-15 minutes Cook time: 7-8 hours (LOW) Ingredients 600g Jindurra Station Gravy Beef 1 jar Specially Selected Siciliana Gourmet Pasta Sauce (400g) 2 small carrots, finely diced 2–3 celery stalks, finely diced 2 cloves garlic, crushed 1 tsp Stonemill Italian herbs 1 cup stock (or red wine, optional) Salt and pepper 500g Armando Rigatoni Pasta Grated parmesan, to serve Method 1. Cook the vegetables Heat a small pan over medium heat with a drizzle of olive oil. Add the carrot and celery and cook for 4-5 minutes until softened. Add the garlic and cook for a further 30 seconds until fragrant. Transfer the vegetables straight into the slow cooker. 2. Sear the beef Season the gravy beef generously with salt and pepper. Using the same pan, sear the beef over high heat until browned on all sides. 3. Into the slow cooker Add the seared beef to the slow cooker with the vegetables. Pour over the Siciliana pasta sauce, stock (or wine, if using) and sprinkle over the Italian herbs. 4. Slow cook Cover and cook on LOW for 7-8 hours (or HIGH for 4-5 hours), until the beef is very tender. 5. Shred the beef Use two forks to gently shred the beef directly in the slow cooker and stir through the sauce until thick and glossy. 6. Cook the pasta Cook the rigatoni according to packet directions. Drain. 7. Serve Spoon the slow-cooked beef sauce over the pasta and finish with grated parmesan. #ALDIAustralia #ad #ValentinesDinner #DinnerAtHome
