In a rebuilding season, it’s so easy to look back and replay the mistakes, the missed opportunities, and the plans that didn’t pan out the way I hoped they would. Why does regret feel so much easier to hold onto, than grace?! I don’t know exactly why, but I do know regret and shame isn’t where God wants us to live, because it’s not from him. He has never loved us based on how perfectly we executed our plans, or if the vision we held in our head came to fruition as pristinely as it played out in our mind. Instead of looking back at what went awry, He’s guiding me to remember the way He was right there by my side, loving me through every wrong turn, every delay, every failure, and every fresh start. And He’s asking me now, not to continue withholding the same grace for myself. Instead, I’m asking myself what it would look like to love myself the way He loves me? What would it look like to believe His grace is bigger than my mistakes? And live out the promise “that in ALL things, God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” (Romans 8:28) These questions break the chains. If you’re carrying regret or shame today, this is your reminder that God’s grace is still enough for the choices you wish you could undo, And with every decision you make to take action in alignment with that belief, the more you discover the person He created you to be. 🤍 If this message resonates with you, comment below and consider sharing with a friend who could use it too.
