Look at what happened with GMOs. There wasn't enough evidence to say that if these altered genes were safe to release into the environment. GMOs should have never left the lab. But politicians were sold a utopia of lavish crops and ending world hunger. When GMOs cross pollinate with organic crops, there's no going back. This has happened. Same with AI. We have very little tools to keep it at bay and we don't know enough about it.

people arw putting way too much faith in AI. AI is not perfect. AI has been wrong on more than one occasion when I've asked for information. AI is computer intelligence and only knows what it can search out. AI does try to learn and fill in the blanks using its logic. what happens when the logic is wrong? There are many movies made in the past about computers that take over. yes those movies were fantasy, at that time. reality is here. don't trust AI. the corporations are looking at dollar signs. The government will do almost anything to stay out in front of China in AI infrastructure and development. fill your lamps with oil. IYKYK
