My parents always taught me to care about my appearance and being presentable/professional. Whether it was when i worked at starbucks or chipotle, they always reinforced that principle to me. Now I still apply that to my RN job in the ED!

The whole video I was like “yesss!” Every single point you hit right on. I literally tell people the same stuff especially the point about the nurses who come off nice and then sit at the nurses station and gossip/shit talk about everyone don’t complain out loud and don’t tell em a damn thing! Made that mistake as a new grad, NEVER again. 🤦♀️

I missed an order that was SO HARD TO FIND. I was like… how tf was I supposed to find that?! 😭 it was in the fine print of a communication order on order history. Who has the time to dive THAT DEEP into charts as a new grad? I’m having such a hard time getting everything done on time—I can’t imagine spending even more time with chart checking.
