Men and women weren’t meant to be so vastly different. We were conditioned to be, largely by the Bible. When we put the Bible down and get people together we find we’re really not that different. It’s not “being like a woman” for a man to be emotionally healthy. He’s just emotionally healthy.

It’s not some biological difference. It’s because we raise boys to not pay attention to detail, to not be emotional, to not do mindfulness, to be emotionally stunted. I know plenty of men who “responds like a woman” because he was raised to be interested and to pay attention. Just like I know women who “responds like a man” because of how she was raised. It’s just more common to abide by stupid norms. Hence why women do better in school, mature faster, have their stuff togheter faster. Because it’s how we raise them

As a Christian woman in a healthy marriage, I totally see this point, but I think it’s important to clarify characteristics of an emotionally healthy man. Being tender or gentle in approach isn’t feminine. Noticing details is not feminine. Being willing to communicate through issues in a mature and healthy way is not feminine. A man can be strong, a leader, a healthy communicator, and is allowed to be emotional without it being deemed as womanly.
