@justcru: I guess you can say this is day 71 of trying to retire my wife. And recently, God put something on my heart. What does my wife being retired actually look like for her? Sure we can look forward to her resting her feet, laying back on the couch, finally reading that book she’s been trying to get to for a few months — all those things are great.. But I was reminded that true rest comes from the Lord. And what better way than to create a dedicated space for her to be able to do that without any distractions or disruptions. She’s always had areas of the house where she could read/journal and pray but it wasn’t her space. So I decided transform this room in our basement we’ve used as random storage over the years and finally give her that space she can call her own. This is her war room. I want her retiring to look like coming down here at any time of the day to spend time with God and just be in His presence. To be that little girl. His precious daughter whom He adores. And to give her one more thing to look forward to as she learns to lay her burdens down. And the best part is I didn’t have to buy anything new to do this, I just gathered what I found around the house and it came together better than I expected 😌 Stay tuned for her reaction in part 2 ☺️🙌🏼 @kathlynceleste
