Typically April through August, though it can show up earlier or linger later depending on the year. Why does it vary so much by resort?
🌬️ Wind direction- onshore winds push more seaweed toward the beach
🌊 Ocean currents- sargassum travels through the Caribbean before it ever reaches shore
📍 Location- some stretches of coastline naturally accumulate more than others, even within the same town. That means two people staying in the same destination during the same week can have totally different beach conditions.
