@drgavingcook: If this video found you, it means the algorithm thinks you are both driven and motivated. Let's talk about a way to make the lofty goals that I know you have for yourself a little easier to work towards every day This helped me get a job at BCG (the Boston Consulting Group), a management consulting firm, but it took me a number of years after that to refine and internalize this. I am definitely still working on really enjoying process-based rewards, and I hope this video saves you some time Basically you can have three types of rewards from a goal: 1. Learn to love and master the process. This is a reward entirely on its own 2. The subject of this video -> You can define a goal from the process, such as mastering the SAT / GRE, because you want to improve your vocab and math skills, not necessarily just to get into college / grad school 3. Working towards the goal and then achieving that goal is an additional layer of reward- and you're more likely to retain that if you find rewards of multiple types in the process I hope this helps you as much as it has helped me and the people that I've worked with #SelfImprovement #consulting #interview #discipline #motivation
