“What about the Olympics?” - Australia came 4th last year. In comparison America, China and Japan were the ones that ranked above Australia - Japan with nearly 100 million more people, USA with 300 million more and China with 1 billion and 300 million more people. Australia’s women also outranked Australia’s men in the Olympics as well. Australia’s women’s sports have always performed well, while there’s equal opportunity in Australia the funding is not often equal.
