I have that first washer you showed here. It would continue running and grinding and I had to do hours of digging and sitting on the phone with the manufacturer to find out there was a control board issue making the washer think it was in flood mode so it would run the drain pump for 30+ minutes. The matching dryer is a piece of crap, too. Take two cycles to dry a load of laundry

I actually dont mind the rotor design. Whirlpool just can't make a control board or a transmission for the life of them. wasn't always that way. they used to make the transmission out of cast iron. and mechincal timer was amazing and serviceable.
