@lolbert.2: I like this period of China. After centuries of foreign rule by Manchus, they rose up and established a republic. I like Sun Yat-Sen as a leader who defeated the Qing. #china #History #chinesehistory #edit #fyp

> Overthrew the Qing, which was undergoing a reformist era (Yuan Shikai, Iron Cixi) > Made Yuan Shikai president simply for surrendering the country > Did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, he couldn't even hold free elections (The President openly eliminated the opposition, Sun Yat-sen simply turned a blind eye) > Endured the restoration of the monarchy by Shikai > Shamefully lost the second revolution against his own president and spent the rest of his life abroad, as he had done all his life before. > Turned a united, reforming empire of China into a fragmented hell for an idea he couldn't even implement. 😹😹😹

Sun Yat-sen is my personal inspiration for my political beliefs, but I see your account is based around capitalism and I want to say that Sun Wen (his personal name), was sort of a third positionist, believed in state guided capitalism and land-to-the-tiller. (His philosophy is also what caused Taiwan/ROC to have an economic miracle even under the white terror military dictatorship). He wasn't that big of a fan of full on individual freedoms like libertarians are but the good thing about his philosophies is that he openly said that *they are not a dogma but can be adjusted* as in, his principles are not like Marxism which is basically a dogma, but they're adjustable to the issue you're dealing with.
