The "hurr durr dead rotten tree who cares" comments are mind numbing. As trees decay they create hollows that allow native and endangered animals to live in. Sure the tree was rotten and FFM have to reduce the amount of fuel (especially with this Summer's forecast) but they have no regard for wildlife when doing this.

the fire-fighters have training for all things wildfire/burn. the tree was not the problem here, the problem here is the agencies statement regarding this tree, and whoever wrote that needs a reality lesson. and a year of being locked in a room full of people gaslighting them.
