I understand that he probably doesn't want to be accused of taking up space in a genre that's traditionally so tied to youth culture, but at the same time, I think there should be room for everyone's perspective. (Well, not everyone maybe. There's definitely bad art out there.) But why shouldn't we have access to the perspectives of a man in his 40s? Whatever that perspective may be? Bowie kept making music well into his 60s. I just hope that Andre' keeps making art, whatever form that art takes.
