Oklahoman here. It’s close to American barbecue but definitely still not there. Hint: American Barbecue sauce is never sugary and it’s never served on the meat. And the cuts of meat are thick not thin.

My experience with the Pit Smoker, at least in the first shop, is that the smokey taste is really monotone and everything tastes the same which gets boring soon, but it was indeed a positive experience for the price range
