It's unacceptable to think that, by sacrificing Chloe, the best love story would never have seen the light. Max will never be able to break out of her bubble, avoiding being the direct protagonist and allowing herself to be swept away by the unfolding events. She will never be able to overcome her fears and find self-confidence thanks to Chloe, the only one who encouraged her. The thought that Max will remain traumatized by the abuse and loss of those closest to her, that she will never be able to save Kate, that she will never discover the truth behind Blackwell and will never find Rachel, devastates me. Chloe also carries a huge burden for the gamer: she died alone, on that cold bathroom floor, convinced that no one loved her, while the only girl who adored her beyond all limits is left to mourn a past that now belongs only to her. Chloe died alone in that bathroom... She died with the idea of not being accepted by her parents, she died convinced that she was not helped and understood during her adolescence. She died certain she'd never see Max again, convinced that both she and Rachel had abandoned her. The last words Chloe will remember, before Nathan shot her, are: "No one will miss that blue-haired punk."

I would never follow this route but it is the most logical ending. Chloe would’ve fired a thousand more times and Max would’ve kept delaying her death, but I guess that’s a way too.

As sad as it is, this is the "correct" ending, Max was saving Chloe every two seconds meaning that her destiny was to die, and Max just had to accept it cause even with powers you can't defeat death, time and destiny. But anyways deck nine fucked up the franchise with double exposure so...
