I work in a medical laboratory, and while yes I wish they did do genetic testing and it should be a requirement, it would be really difficult. Most insurances don’t cover it, and its EXTREMELY expensive

I was prescribed every prescription she was and they also made me worse. I kept telling my doctor, she kept switching or upping my dose. I was genetically tested and was not compatible with any of them. My dr immediately took me off everything.

Also, another thing I don’t really understand is with the Seroquel, when she told them it was making her feel worse. Why did they increase her dose??

I did one to find out what seizure meds were best for me due to having awful side effects. Found out I can’t take a majority of medications due to a gene. I absolutely cannot have a mental health issue because there are only 3 i can take. And taking that made me feel awful for my brother because he was probably having an issue finding the right depression medication before he passed
