Wait but like if God already knew they would eat it, why did he put it there? Just to prove his point? Cuz there is like a fake choice that Adam and Eve had. They couldn’t “choose” to not eat it bc god already knew that they would. So why do it?

Because He wanted them to have a free choice. God could have created Adam and Eve without the possibility of disobedience, but then their obedience wouldn’t be a real choice. The tree gave them the opportunity to trust and obey God freely. ❤️

God doesn’t make choices for people. People make choices for themselves. We are constantly being tempted by the devil that is why the tree is there. Represents temptation and how easily people will be manipulated.

I like to think of it as a metaphor for free will. The tree represents the fact that we have a choice, He gave us free will. They have the choice to listen to God, or defy Him. It then shows us what happens when we do. Everything happens for a reason. If they never took the apple, we wouldve never had that lesson taught to us.

He wants to test us humans. Because we do have a conscious and just because God knows everything, he warns us yet we still choose the sin which is why we’re called sinners. Adam and Eve knew what they did was wrong yet still did it.
