i think both sides are wrong. you're not supposed to bring outside food into a restaurant and the owner should have made sure that her employees knew this to be a rule and when it did occur she definitely shouldn't have blown up like that. definitely unprofessional

We ALWAYS bring our own cake when we celebrate. The restaurant will even put our cake in their fridge. We will NEVER go to this restaurant.

Ive got 26 yrs experience in food service. Every single restaurant Ive worked at has a no outside food policy. Ive got no prob with the policy. But nowhere Ive worked took issue with a bday cake. I do have a problem with the owners reaction. How greedy can you be? Its a celebration of life for fucks sake.
