@lauren.digitalsales: It's actually mad looking back at how much can change in just a few months. At the start of my maternity leave, I was constantly worrying. I was already in debt. Trying to work out how we'd make maternity pay last. Constantly doing the mental maths and wondering how on earth we'd make it all work. I remember thinking... Surely this can't be what every mum goes through? I loved being home with my little girl, but there was always that worry sitting in the back of my mind. Instead of fully soaking up those precious months, I was constantly thinking about what happened when maternity leave came to an end. So on my second maternity leave I decided I had to at least try something different. Thats when I came across digital products and Canva. Things like planners, checklists, templates and invitations. At first, I assumed it wasn't for me. I thought you had to be really creative, techy or have loads of spare time. But then I realised I could start with ready-made digital products, learn as I went and build my confidence before creating my own. That made everything feel so much more achievable 🙌 I didn't start this expecting it to change my life overnight. Honestly, an extra couple of hundred pounds a month would've taken so much pressure off. Instead... It's helped me clear debt. Build savings. Extend my maternity leave. Reduce my working hours.
