I probably wouldn’t. The milk is ment for the lambs and not for us. Chickens can eat their own eggs and get more calcium through the shells.

From what I’ve seen, I think it’s more the fact the animals don’t have the autonomy to consent. So for vegans with backyard chickens they simply feed the eggs back to the chickens since it gives them back the nutrients used

I find the idea of consuming animal products quite disgusting in it of itself now. I wouldn’t call it immoral to consume these products when the means of retrieving them cause no harm, but the idea of eating human meat, human milk, or human eggs I think most would find disgusting, is how I view other animals meat, eggs, or milk.

I’m vegetarian and I do this. I drink almond milk and my eggs come from a reliable source. However I wouldn’t eat the meat even if the animal had a ‘good’ life

how would an animal not suffer from being killed, if it was a different animal it would be a different viewpoint. i would let the chickens do what they wish with the eggs which is usually eating them because they lose a lot of vitamins from laying an egg therefore if not fertile they eat it. i know its a common argument but if your pet lived a good life would you consider eating it? and also animals have a central nervous system meaning they are capable of feeling the same pain and us. hope this answers a couple questions

vegan here, to answer your question, I wouldn‘t eat an animal after it had a genuine good life because I still think it deserves respect- like you wouldn‘t eat your cat or dog either after it died right? As for milk products, I think the milk should only be consumed by the baby cows, who it was made for. For eggs, Idk- prolly not though cause I don’t really like eggs

I personally feel like it's the same as saying "Is it morally okay to kill a person when that person hasn't suffered during it?" Both feel pain. Both have emotions. The intellectual part doesn't really play a part in that so it's basically the same. We are also just animals. So if you wouldn't do it to another human being then also don't do it to another animal. Just my opinion tho

No because I would genuinely puke at the idea😅 but also; milk should be used for the calves so they’re definitely not treated right if it’s taken away from the cow and not used for the calves. The eggs should be fed to the chicken themselves ! So yeah :)

Veganism is a moral and ethical stance, even if the animal didn’t „suffer“, we still think there’s no reason for us to take away their own children, or use the food that is meant for its baby. The animals don’t live for us, we share this planet.[cute]

chicken need to eat their own eggs cause it has a lot of nutrients that they need, also it doesn’t matter if an animal lived a good life, you’re still k1lling it for selfish reasons:(

for meat, the animal would still die. why kill an animal when you have alternatives.
for eggs, it's still bad as chicken are only meant to lay up to 8 times a year. the daily egg laying takes alot of nutrients from the body which is terrible for them and the only way to get those nutrients back is by them eating the unfertilised eggs.
so no. I would not
