I rescued a 2 month old Malinois once who was severely malnourished and abused.. 3 months in he was so protective of me it was hilarious/ dangerous.. a wonderful former marine friend who had handled the breed during the Iraq war fell in love and adopted him. He had 4 daughters- they were well protected for 13 years. Great dogs

Love these dogs!!! But the person that has one has to know what they’re getting in to. I had a regular German shepherd and holy cow. Can’t imagine the mallinois. A lot of work but yet beautiful and you have to be able to control them.

I had an ex that had this breed he was the sweetest baby ever super smart as fuck and he used to have to run about 10 miles a day which he was retired military so it wasn’t something that was hard for him. The dog was not trained from the military, but he was well trained, and somebody broke into their house one night and the dog killed the burglar
