First of all the both of them need communication, in the sense that yeah the tension of Jola's joblessness is there and the woman being the sole provider of the house is not exactly the typical Nigerian way or lifestyle...it's basically breaking a everything normal and traditional right... but the thing the man's ego bruised and what he should be doing or rather what he thinking about is how to lessen the burden on the woman i.e, taking care of the baby. It's your child don't do it because you want validation or an applaud from anyone. He should do it because that's his child and since he's not occupied with he might as well take up those roles
