@sleepy7ama: this edit does not claim that every individual shown was a philosopher in the classical Greek sense. Philosophy is not a single tradition confined to metaphysics or formal logic. Broadly understood, it is the disciplined pursuit of truth through reflection on reality, knowledge, ethics, politics, language, history, and the human condition. Some of the figures mentioned were historians, theologians, jurists, poets, sociologists, or reformers. Their philosophical contribution lies not in sharing one school of thought, but in articulating coherent intellectual frameworks that shaped how people understood society, morality, identity, revelation, education, or civilization. Ibn Taymiyyah is perhaps the clearest example. He explicitly rejected the Greek philosophical tradition and should not be classified as a philosopher in that sense. Nevertheless, his works engage extensively with epistemology, metaphysics, logic, language, and the limits of reason in relation to revelation. Rejecting philosophy as a tradition does not mean one ceases to address philosophical questions. The purpose of this edit is therefore not to collapse these individuals into one category, but to highlight the breadth of Kurdish intellectual history. Their methods differed. Their conclusions differed. Their disciplines differed. Yet each left behind an enduring body of thought that continues to shape discussions on ethics, politics, religion, language, culture, or society. Labels are secondary.
