This classroom isn’t taking so long because I’m chasing perfection. It’s taking so long because I’m building with purpose. 🍏💐✨ I know some people probably watch these videos and think, “The kids won’t notice if the furniture is covered.” “You don’t have to do all that.” And maybe they won’t notice every little detail. But they’ll notice how the room makes them feel. They’ll notice if it feels warm. They’ll notice if it feels safe. They’ll notice if it feels like someone was excited they were coming. That’s always been my goal. Today I finally started putting up bulletin boards, borders, and one of my favorite parts of the room—our Fail Forward board. Every week, my firsties will leave sticky notes sharing mistakes that taught them something, and on Fail Forward Fridays we’ll celebrate what we learned because of those moments. I want them to grow up believing mistakes aren’t something to hide… They’re proof that they were brave enough to try. Funny enough… This entire classroom has been my own Fail Forward project. Things have fallen. I’ve had to start over. I’ve run out of supplies. I’ve questioned the vision more than once. But every setback has made both this room—and me—a little stronger. I’m still not completely seeing the vision yet. But maybe faith looks like continuing to build even when you can’t fully see the finished picture. So that’s exactly what I’ll keep doing. One bulletin board. One prayer. One faithful step at a time. 🍏🩷✏️💐✨ #classroomsetup #classroomideas #growthjourney #elementaryteacher #firstgradeteacher @BoggBags
