I took 0.5mg Ativan once for flying (hardly ever took Benzo) and I couldn’t urinate on the plane - I feel my brain couldn’t control my pelvic floor/sphincter and they lost connection to my brain … is that possible?!

I take 1mg extended release to help with my severe dissociation disorder. I hate them but they are the only thing that helps me to not feel like I'm in a dream all day. Any suggestions to help this without xanax would be great!

I've been prescribed Valium for my muscle spasms from my dermatomyositis. I've been on some type of benzo for at least 10 years. I tried to get off and I was having muscle seizures and the spasms were horrific. I tried other meds for the spasms and this is all that helps at least to where I can function, at least at home. So, should I just suffer? Doctors prescribed this stuff and never told me about the long-term side effects. The medical system makes me literally want to throw up.

I have cervical spinal cord tumors. I take 15 .25 mg Xanax per month. Since beginning it, I have been able to stop taking my opioids entirely. I’m 472 days opioid free. That little quarter of a milligram every other day calms my muscle spasms down tremendously and adds so much to my quality of life. This should’ve been an option that was provided to me much earlier.

My Dr put me on xanax nightly during covid because of anxiety. 5yrs later I was hooked and felt like I had dementia. it took 3 tries and a year, but it's now been a year without xanax. my brain is recovering, but at 46 I still have some issues. With addiction in my family, my Dr should've never put me on them for as long as she did.

They put my 17 year old special needs daughter on it to see if she have Catatonia it’s didnt work now we have to wean her of and it is horrible !!!!

I’d like to see clinical results I’m 73. I’ve been taking three 1mg Xanax a day for my entire adult life. I’m sharper than all my contemporaries. Where are the studies ? Where’s the proof ?
