@anna.harp.ff: Vivek Ramaswamy walked onto the stage at YALCON to a roar of mixed emotions. As much as the main media wanted to make this look entirely against him, these clips represent how what was meant to be a 30-minute speech turned to 15 actually transpired. He was met with many in the crowd shouting a range of things: 🗣️ "Trump betrayed us" 🗣️ "What about the war?" 🗣️ "No more foreign entanglement" 🗣️ "You’re taking AIPAC money" 🗣️ "I thought Americans were too stupid" 🗣️ "We just want to afford a home" I can’t help but feel every cry from that crowd. I wasn’t a booer—mostly because I was captivated by a room of young Americans not willing to sit silent when someone who doesn’t represent America to them is pushed as being for them. 👏 Yet through the noise, Vivek still received applause when speaking on capitalism. ✉️ I was sitting next to anti-booers and spoke with several attendees who felt the hostility was disrespectful, preferring to write letters thanking him for taking the time to attend. So no the entire room was not anti- Vivek I don’t always think booing is appropriate, and I’m not sold all of the behavior here was appropriate either. But I am proud of my fellow young Americans for having heart and fire. Don’t give up that fire. I love to see it.
