The incident in the video took place in Las Cruces, New Mexico, United States. This tragic event occurred on February 11, 2024, in the 300 block of South Valley Drive. The victim was Patrol Officer Jonah Hernandez of the Las Cruces Police Department (LCPD), who was attacked and stabbed in the neck while responding to a trespassing call. During the incident, the stabbing suspect, named Armando Silva, was also killed at the scene after being shot by a civilian (not an officer) who witnessed the event and attempted to rescue the police officer.

El ofician Jonah se acerca hacia el sospechoso preguntando si el fue el que hizo la llamada y se acercó demasiado a lo que el sospechoso aprovechó saco la navaja y empezó a arremeter contra el oficial quien fue alcanzado mientras intentaba correr y los dos en el suelo el sospechoso empezó a atacarlo fue allí que se escucha el dolor del oficial, un civil qué iba pasando por allí vio lo que sucedió y no dudo en disparar contra el asaltante dejando al oficial en el suelo y el sospechoso recibió varios disparos. El civil toma la radio del oficial Jonah mientras intenta ayudarlo y solicita ayuda así fue que los oficiales cercanos apenas reciben la noticia corren a intentar ayudar. Desafortunadamente el oficial Jonah muere en el hospital y el sospechoso también. El civil que ayudó le fue agradecida si ayuda y se declaró que lo que paso fue defensa propia a él un oficial y otras personas.
