Day 3. I never imagined that simply sitting in a chair could bring me to tears. Today was the first time I’ve moved since my surgery. Every inch of my body screamed in pain. It felt as though every stitch, every muscle, every breath was fighting against me. The hot flushes, the dizziness, the exhaustion… they haven’t left my side. I’m still in ITU. Drains are hanging from my body, cables and machines surround me, oxygen is helping me breathe, and I still haven’t been allowed a single bite of food. This is now my reality. But through all of it… I’m still smiling. Not because I’m not hurting, but because I refuse to let this illness take away my hope. Some battles are fought in silence, hidden behind a smile that nobody realises takes every ounce of strength to wear. Today wasn’t about walking across a room—it was about proving to myself that I can still move forward, even when every step feels impossible. Please keep me in your prayers. I know this road is long, but with God, my family, my friends, and every one of you lifting me up, I believe I’ll make it through. One painful breath. One painful step.
