So created this fun little game of let’s pick something nice but not crazy because you’re not trying to break your partner’s bank. We split the bill and it’s never discussed because we’re FRIENDS.. anecdotally, I do have a friend who makes significantly more than I do, and most of the time she’ll pay and she doesn’t even want to discuss it. I also have 3 friends who are men that are just friends.. they also won’t let me pay, because they feel that’s their responsibility as men. Their words not mine. Because we are just friends I’ll offer to cover my food and they won’t let me.
