Instead, your pet must be able to fit comfortably in an airline-approved soft-sided carrier that fits under the seat. • Most of their aircraft accommodate a carrier up to 18 × 11 × 11 inches, but this can vary depending on the aircraft, so always check your specific flight before booking. • Even without a weight limit, your pet must be able to stand up, turn around, and lie down comfortably inside the carrier. • Cabin pet spaces are limited on every flight, so availability should be confirmed before you purchase your tickets. • We first chose the flights that worked for us, then contacted Delta to make sure Maggie could travel on those specific flights before booking. • Once everything was confirmed, we reserved Maggie’s spot. Her pet travel fee wasn’t paid until we checked in at the airport. • Their customer service—especially through text messaging—was outstanding. Every question we had was answered quickly, and the whole process felt much less stressful. Would we fly with Delta again? Absolutely. Based on our experience, we wouldn’t hesitate.
