My DM has been trying to find an enemy that will successfully swallow/eat one of our party members but somehow, some way, the dice always roll in the players favor and he is never swallowed. At this point, it’s just an ongoing bit fueled by luck.

One of my favorite combats as a player was several baby Remorazes. My Tempest Cleric got swallowed and I killed it with an upcast, max damage Thunderwave from inside it. Still one of my favorite moments now years later!

Got some Drakkenheim material recently and have been obsessed with the Thing with the Writhing Tail. Cheshire Cat merged with eldritch deity... I just wish It fit into my campaign setting better. lol I only bring it up as "underrated" because I've never seen anyone else talk about it before.

IIRC the description has a hook that the Rhemorraz is drawn to heat. So basically if the party makes a camp fire (which they probably will because of the cold) that's the perfect invitation to introduce this baddie to ruin their day. 🔥✨

I have only encountered this thing in a video game called Solasta. Our party was like lvl 4 and there were two of them. Everyone but the rogue was surprised by it as it was a sleeping random encounter. Said rogue had the privilege of watching the fighter, Cleric and wizard getting swallowed before getting one-shotted herself.

My favorite part is the fire damage. PC's are likely spec'd vs. cold in arctic settings. They won't be ready for heat damage!
