Ok so this may sound naive or silly , but with all these people who have had NDE and have claimed to have met Jesus , surely he would of told at least 1 of them the truth about what we should be learning and understanding and what not to believe ! With all these different beliefs and understanding of Jesus and the bible I’m actually just wanting to give up , as having a learning disability it’s really hard to know what to believe and not to believe

Paul never claimed to have walked with the earthly Jesus. He said he met the risen Christ and that the apostles in Jerusalem accepted him. In Galatians he records meeting Peter and James the brother of Jesus and receiving their recognition of his gospel. His letters are the earliest Christian writings we possess and they show he was already circulating among the churches decades before any Roman emperor favored Christianity. The claim that Romans selected or controlled the New Testament is false. The core books the four Gospels Acts the letters of Paul and others were already widely used and quoted as authoritative by the late second century long before Constantine. Church leaders recognized them because of their connection to the apostles their consistency with the faith already preached and their widespread acceptance across the churches. Constantine ordered copies of existing Scriptures for new churches. He did not invent or rewrite the list. The first clear matching list of the twenty seven books appears in Athanasius in 367. Local councils later affirmed what the churches had already received. No contemporary evidence supports a Roman plot to create or alter the New Testament. Earlier Roman emperors had persecuted Christians and burned their writings. After Constantine the empire supported the church but the books themselves came from the apostles and their associates not from imperial officials. Paul’s own letters and the early church’s use of them stand as evidence against the conspiracy claims.
