happened to me a few months ago , it was a soup n sandwich deal 9.99 each , when we checked bill it was £30 , excuse was it was a glitch in the system , and that a mid week and no alcohol, so been at it for ages .

My husband and I we sitting at a table for approximately an hour We were approached by a member of staff to say someone had just “bought” our table and we would have to stand at the bar or find another seat. Needless to say we left and will never return.

in a different restaurant..we noticed that the VAT was set at 23 per cent...we pointed this out and they tried to say no we were wrong so we stood our ground and eventually they reprinted the bill . 😳😳

this has happened twice to us in there. I always check the bill. there are 4 of us but 1 doesn't drink so I usually work out the bill. so she doesn't pay 1/4 just the food and a coke. the last time it was £72 extra. they hugged and puffed until I asked to see the manager. then the boy literally grabbed the bill out of my hand and came back with £40 off. in the intervening time I wrote out what we had along with the prices and told the boy I would not be paying a penny more. he started to argue with me so I said either bring the manager or the police BC I'm not paying that. we eventually got the correct bill and happily paid.
