I liked it. To me it spoke on the trauma and disconnect that America went through when 9/11 happened—just as the protag is learning to fall in love with life again, the country becomes a more hostile, ugly place. Idk I didn’t think it was perfect but I found it interesting to contemplate. Also it is foreshadowed, not as out-of-the-blue as Remember Me

I loved it. It reminded me a lot of how guilty I felt during Covid for only caring about my personal problems- breakups, anxiety, job loss. Where as the whole world was going through something as a collective, my personal trauma felt bigger.
