Look at Deb Downs, who did attempt to kill her three children. She tried to cover it up, she had motive, etc. Lindsay tried to kill herself, didn’t hide anything, she told her husband she was worried about these intrusive thoughts, she documented her medication and these thoughts in a journal.

what I'm just shook at, is that both her husband and Andrea Yates's husband both immediately got remarried. Yates also immediately started having more kids. those men just shook it right off. we can't know what they went through but still that is insane to me.

That’s my thing too. It’s not like she wanted a carefree life, or that she wanted to be out partying etc. yeah she didn’t want to work BC SHE WANTED TO BE WITH HER KIDS. There was literally 0 motive to this.

As a perinatal Healthcare provider, I 100% agree with you and am heartbroken by the way this trial is playing out. its cruel and unusual punishment. I fear it will further isolate women struggling with mental health.

They aren't going to present a motive. The argument seems to be: "we don't know why she did it but she didn't look psychotic 24/7, so she can't have been crazy."

I’m not denying she was suffering with mental health issues but there are thousands of women who are mothers who suffer ppd,ppa, and ppp but they don’t take the lives of their kids. So does her mental health excuse her actions no.

Not one person can take the amount of pills she was prescribed and be in their right mind, that doesn’t take into account the depression and anxiety she was already suffering prior to taking 10+ anti depressants/anti psychotic meds

WHEN will the medical field start taking women seriously when we tell them something is not right??? They excuse it to stress, depression. Then dope us up and we still can’t function . I watched my mother die a slow, terrible death. She was so physically and mentally sick, she hallucinated the last 10 years of her life. She never got the help she needed and neither did this woman. It’s just heartbreaking.
